On the boardwalk of Ocean Beach, CT, this past Saturday, stood all of the close friends + family of Felicia + Kenny, in support of this amazing couple, as they declared their lifelong commitment to one another. There was no doubt that everyone agreed how sweet they are together. I’m still in awe of the fact they discovered they even knew one another when they were young children! There was much anticipation as we all knew the forecast had predicted a thunderstorm, but we had faith that the day would turn out beautiful + the rain would subside for the time we needed.

Well sure enough, the beautiful clouds started to roll in right after the ceremony ended, which caused us to take rapid speed bridal party portraits. Before we knew it, we were running underneath a roofed area for coverage! But we didn’t let a little rain stop us from still capturing more of their love. As my clear, umbrella came in handy and allowed us to take even more pictures of just the two of them.

I think the best part of it all was how light-hearted they were about the whole thing. There was continuous laughs, jokes, + smiles, which made everyone else do the same. I still can’t get over how sweet Kenny was towards her + making sure everything was done + set up for her just the way she wanted. He is well aware of how blessed he is to have such a beautiful bride, friend, and now wife.

They are one another’s best friend, who will continue to share their love for one another, their dog, pizza, + donuts, forever and always. 😘

Then it became time for the reception to begin! They were introduced and went right in to their first dance as Mr. + Mrs. Wildes! The first dance as Mr. + Mrs. They danced to the song ‘Say You Won’t Let Go’ by James Arthur.

When their first dance was over + their guests got settled, we snuck outside to the parking lot to capture the amazing skies the storm left behind!

Breathtaking! Then we went back inside to finish off the night with lots of dancing! The Father-Daughter dance gets me choked up… every. single. time. So precious.

These three were over 30+ years! They were over 40+ and were the winners! Their advice was to marry your best friend 😭. I couldn’t agree more!! Everyone had a blast!

Those two cuties were having so much fun on the dance floor together + will be tying the knot next year! I can’t wait!!! I think it is safe to say that these two are each others B E S T F R I E N D. Felicia accepts + adores Kenny’s undying affection for Pizza! He has eaten a slice a day for over a full year!!!

Thank you both soooo much for allowing me to capture your season of engagement + your beautiful wedding day! Everything was simply you guys + I absolutely loved that!!! I had so much fun running in the rain with y’all. 😂 It’s been so sweet getting to know you both + I wish you guys so many years of laughter, love, joy, + grit; grit to stay in the game when the going gets tough. Because yes, we all know that marriage isn’t always easy, but I know as long as you both remain best friends, with mutual respect + love for one another, there will only be many great years ahead!
