What started as a cloudy day, turned into a beautiful evening, as the sun peeked through the sky. The Maegog farm was such a picturesque location to capture Emily + Michael’s love. This is Michael’s family farm, where these two spent lots of time together. Michael definitely helped season Emily into the farm life because you could have fooled me when she told me she was from RI. It was great getting to walk the grounds + see where they will be getting married this coming May!
Emily and Michael met at a College + Career group at Emily’s church. They ended up connecting a lot more through Instagram when they both were traveling out of the country. Emily was on a trip to Australia and Michael was in France. They bonded over their traveling adventures via social media, so when they both got back they started hanging out a lot with a group of friends. It eventually became obvious that they were interested in each other, so it only seemed fit to start dating!
Michael ended up taking Emily to France last year and showing her everywhere he loved to go. Emily had a feeling something special was going to happen on one of the days he was taking her to his favorite place, the Dune de Pilat, so she got a little more dressed up than usual. They climbed to the top + ended up having a picnic on the sand. Sure enough, when the sun decided to set, he proposed!!! ✨💍 Ahh, isn’t that amazing?! What a dream.
Their little quirks + fun sense of humor bond them together; oh, and the fact that they are “both gingers,” as Emily mentioned (haha). We all laughed as we discussed how their children are all destined to be the same! But there is nothing wrong with that 😉. Starting a family together, built upon their faith is what they look forward to most as a married couple. They are truly best friends + cannot wait to officially start their lives together.
Exploring this family farm that Michael grew up on is where they spend most of their time dating, so it was no question that this would be the special place where they will be getting married. The barn will be decorated beautifully + this land will provide such amazing spots to capture their wedding day.

The Maegog farm use to have hundreds of cows, since they use to sell milk. There are only two beautiful ladies left, that I know they enjoy taking care of.
