Beavertail Lighthouse Engagement: Caitlin and Tom

Nothing but beautiful skies and crashing waves surrounding Caitlin and Tom for their engagement session at Beavertail Lighthouse, in Jamestown, RI! It was the perfect spot to capture this Californians, who grew up in New England. These two love the ocean and the beach-life -Caitlin grew up swimming, and is currently a nurse in the neonatal ICU, and Tom is lifeguard. They actually met one summer while lifeguarding in RI together and instantly had a connection! They both have a lot in common and a love for mutual things, so they were always up for doing many things together. Their relationship really strengthened when Tom had to leave to go back to Miami to work in the winter time and Caitlin was going through a hard time while her father was battling late stage cancer. Tom was always checking in on her and was her person of comfort in helping her get through that difficult time! As much as it was probably one of the hardest season to go through, since they were apart and going through such grief, it was the season that they really got to know one another best.

There is no doubt how much Caitlin adores Tom. She admires how much he cares- for her, his family, the people he loves, and the things he’s passionate about. He’s the person she loves to celebrate all the good things in life with, but also the person who will make her feel better on the bad days. And of course, Tom is just as crazy about her! There are so many beautiful things he adores about her, like her big heart, excitement for life, and her beautiful smile! They truly are such a great team and know they can take on whatever life hands them, while having so much fun along the way!!

Tom finally found the perfect time to pop the question, since they were heading back home to the East Coast. They were going back for a friends wedding and to visit their families! They had been talking about getting married and starting a family for awhile now, and she kind of had a hunch that he would ask her back in RI since that is where they started their relationship. While spending a few days in NH on a lake at Tom’s parents vacation home, after a beautiful day with his family, Tom suggested that they take the canoe out to get a better view of the sunset on the lake. He had been waiting for perfect time to ask her and it wasn’t till they were out in the middle of the lake that she turned around in the canoe and Tom was down on one knee! Well he asked and of course she said,”YES!” It was the PERFECT proposal and was a great surprise! That night was full of so much love and celebration with Tom’s family!!! They made sure to find a spot of cell service to tell her mom, even though she was well aware since Tom had already asked her permission. On top of all that, Tom had planned a surprise party with all of their friends and family to celebrate when they got back to Rhode Island!!

Caitlin and Tom couldn’t be more excited for marriage! They cannot wait to start a family together since they both LOVE children. They feel so lucky to have found each other and get to spend the rest of their lives together! There is no doubt these two are up for the biggest adventure together, and September 1st will be a BEAUTIFUL celebration of their commitment to one another. The joy and love that these two share is tangible and this is just a little taste of what their wedding day will be like by the beach at The Dunes Club, in Narragansett, RI!

Then we headed down by the water, onto the rocks in their second outfit. They looked absolutely amazing! 🌊💖

Then we made our way to a little beach to capture them having some fun in the water at sunset! 🌅

Thank you so much for letting me capture your love and making my job easy! I literally had so much fun with y’all and it was super relaxing!!! Feels like I have known y’all for much longer! I cannot wait to be apart of your big day. I know it is going to be beyond BEAUTIFUL! Everything will be amazing and true to you both. I’m so happy for you guys!!! See you again soon, September 1st will be here before we know it!!!
