Regatta Place, Newport Wedding: Kristie & Brian

Weddings

It was a beautiful, hot summer day to be back at Regatta Place in the Newport Marina, capturing the love of Kristie and Brian. They both got ready at locations bear the venue where they were surrounded by their close loved ones. Brian got ready with his two sons before they headed to Regatta place. Kristie and her bridesmaids made sure to celebrate this long, awaited wedding day by popping champagne & confetti! They headed to the Regatta Place bridal suite to put on their dresses and finishing touches.

Kristie shared an intimate first look with her dad and gave him a personalized embroidered handkerchief. It was the sweetest. Her mother also helped her get ready and gifted her with her “something blue” with sentimental jewelry. There were so many laughs, dancing, and sweet moments between Kristie and her bridesmaids. All of her friends were apart from different seasons in her life that she remained close with. They all were just so loving and supportive of her. She looked unbelievably gorgeous, like a princess!

Brian got to the Regatta place with all of his groomsmen and some family so we captured some moments with them before the ceremony started. The breeze during the ceremony site was exactly what we needed on such a hot and humid day. The ceremony was so beautiful. Hearing their love story and everything that they have been through together was such a sweet aspect to be shared with everyone. They kissed and then went right into celebrating with some champagne at cocktail hour! The sun was just starting to set for their portraits at the end of the dock, which turned out so beautiful. They got a moment alone together before they headed back to the party.

The guests eventually were seated and their bridal party was announced. Everyone danced on in, including their parents! They had the biggest smiles on their faces and went right into their First Dance. The best part about it was the sun was setting right as they were dancing, so the beautiful sun glow was lit behind them. The timing couldn’t have been more perfect.

Both Brian and Kristie’s father shared a speech about the couple, followed by the Best Man and Maid of Honor. Everyone only had nice, thoughtful, and kind words to share about the couple. There were many tears and everyone could all agree how well these two handle stressors of life, co-parenting in a blended family, and shared passions in life. They truly are so amazing together.

After speeches and everyone ate their dinner, the desserts came out, the dance floor was open, and the rest was history! Everyone danced the rest of the night away. After 2 years of planning, multiple postponements, and an elopement, they couldn’t have asked for a better wedding celebration! The joy in the room was palatable and having their wedding right in Newport was extra special. Their wedding night just adds to so many memories they have made there together. Everyone, including themselves, couldn’t have been more happy to finally celebrate the joining of their two families!

Kristie and her bridesmaids got ready in a nearby Air BnB that had the perfect stairs to hang up their dresses.

They have been planning their wedding for the past two years so we included all of the invitations and save the dates they used throughout their whole planning process. I had not met the couple yet, so it was so sweet to see all of these pieces for the first time.

Her shoes were absolutely gorgeous!

Her hair was unbelievably beautiful.

Popped the bubbly and the party officially started!!!

The ladies headed outside to take some portraits together before Brian and his groomsmen arrived.

They all looked so beautiful!

She had some of the sweetest, most supportive girlfriends!

Kristie and her mama are so precious. They are so similar and have the sweetest bond.

Then Kristie got tucked away into the bridal suite as Brian and his groomsmen arrived to the Regatta Place.

Brian with his beautiful mamas.

Brian definitely had to have his son’s part of the wedding as well.

The sweetest ring box.

The ceremony site was decorated simply, yet so beautiful.

His first time seeing his beautiful bride.

Lots of happy tears were shed and beautiful words exchanged.

The moment we all wait for!

Mr. and Mrs. Boissonneault!

Brian’s sweet hand kisses are just too cute.

This is Kristie; joyful, full of life, & beautiful from the inside out.

Such a great group. They all looked so good!

I mean come on… stunning.

So beautiful. This time at the end of the dock was the best. The ocean breeze, the water, and some quiet time between them before the reception began.

Time to get the party started!

All the details were so beautiful and embodied the couple’s love for traveling.

Mr. and Mrs. Boisonneault!

The sun setting right as they went into their first dance couldn’t have been more perfect.

After everyone took their seats, they went into the speeches.

Kristie’s father definitely knew how to pull on everyone’s heartstrings when he shared. One of the sweetest father of the bride speeches I’ve ever heard.

Then Brian’s father shared some kind words as well and couldn’t express enough how amazing of a stepmother she is to Brian’s boys. The bond she has with them is really precious.

Brian’s brother had nothing but great things to say about the couple, as well as her maid of honor and childhood neighbor.

Time to cut the beautiful cake!

They then did their special father-daughter and mother-son dance. These get me every time.

Then the rest of the night was nothing pure joy and everyone was ready to party!!!

Kristie and Brian,

Thank you so much for having me document your special day! I’m so glad you finally got to have the wedding of your dreams!!! You two are so amazing, I’m so grateful our paths have crossed and I know this won’t be the last time I see you due to our newfound friendship. If anything good came out of Covid-19, it was meeting you two! I can’t get over how amazing everything turned out, I truly feel honored to have been a part. I’m praying so many blessings over your marriage and family!

Much joy,

Charity Hope
