What started off as a rainy day, turned into a an amazing, sunny wedding day for Kathryn and Kim! This past Saturday was filled with so many beautiful moments exchanged between them and their families. Many people came from near and far to witness them exchanging their vows at their church in Providence, RI. Between the soul-filled songs, the prayers, and symbolic traditions, there wasn’t a dry eye in there! They made sure to incorporate so many elements of their strong faith in Jesus because that is what brought them together and what they believe will keep them together.

Prior to the ceremony, Kathryn and her beautiful bridesmaids got ready at my home. It was such an honor to be able to host them and capture all of Kathryn’s bridal details. Kathryn has been a dear friend of mine for years now and it turned out so perfectly to be able to have them all in my home before we headed off to her First Look with Kim at the RI State House! Her sisters and closest girlfriends were such a great support for Kathryn and they looked absolutely AMAZING! Kathryn’s native culture was incorporated in their jewelry that was made. The day before, Kathryn and Kim had a native wedding ceremony as well. It was so beautiful to watch their families be blended together with their individual cultures and traditions, now becoming ‘One.’

The sweetest part of the whole day was watching Zay, Kathryn’s son, have his moments with his mama while they were getting ready, then seeing him be fully engaged during the ceremony, and watching him hang on Mr. Kim and his mama the whole day. It literally is the sweetest thing!!! Kathryn and him did a special dance together at the reception and it literally made me cry! Having held Zay as a baby boy and praying years ago for this day to come for Kathryn and him made this day that much more special! This beautiful, blended family, is such a testament to God’s grace and faithfulness over their lives.

Their reception festivities ended at Arrowhead Acres, in Uxbridge, MA. The beautiful pine tree farm was the perfect place for them to host their guests with great food and live music. It was extra special to be there since it was the wedding venue where my husband and I got married at 5 years ago (Kathryn was there in attendance)! Kim’s Best  Man and brother, Mark, as well as Kathryn’s Maid  of  Honor and sister Kimberly did an amazing job on their speeches. She gave us all some good laughs and deeper insight of what it was like being the younger sister to Kathryn.  Mark gave such a beautiful tribute to their sister, that just passed away earlier this year, and how she would have shared all of Kim’s embarrassing moments. Instead, Mark made sure to express all of the amazing qualities and sacrifices Kim has made for his son’s. The rest of the evenign was filled with dancing and then Kathryn’s sister Kim surprised Kathryn with a special song that she sung.  It  was  AMAZING!!!  It was absolutely  beautiful and was that much more impressive with a live band!  It was the perfect way to end the night!

We left my house and headed to the Rhode Island State House to capture Kathryn and Kim’s First Look together, making sure they had some time alone before the full day began!

Of course he found her to be absolutely stunning!

Such a great group! Then we all hurried off to the church for the amazing ceremony to begin!

Kathryn’s father had the honor of walking her down the aisle and giving her away. It gets me choked up every time!

A sweet prayer before the rest of the ceremony proceeded.

Seth Nix sang “You Waited” by Travis Greene, while Kathryn walked down the aisle and it was soooo powerful!

They did a unity candle together, as their two individual flames becoming one. It had all my tears flowing as another song was sung during it.

The part we all wait for!!!

They ended up exiting in worship as “Hallelujah, Worthy is the Lamb” was song and it was such a moving and powerful way to end the ceremony. So many hands lifted in reverence to God and His presence being there!

Such a sweet exit! Everyone was so excited. 🙂

Then we made our way to Arrowhead Acres and took a few more photos as they are now officially, husband and wife!

Then the reception began and the night started with all of the special dances!

They had their first dance and then Kathryn and Zay had their adorable dance together!

Kimberly gave her very humorous and heartfelt speech!

Then Mark sealed the speeches with laughter, sentiment, and toast!

 

Then of course after dinner was served, it was time for people to get on the dance floor!

Then Kimberly surprised us all with a special song! She sang her heart out while they danced. It was so beautiful!!

Kathryn and Kim, thank you sooo much for allowing me to capture your beautiful wedding day!!! Everything turned out absolutely beautiful and there was no doubt all of the love that was shared amongst everyone. It was such an honor to witness your union together. I love you guys dearly and I could not be more happy for you!!! It has been amazing being apart of your journey together and I cannot wait to see where God leads your family!
