As much as I love the benefits that my couples have when they decide to do a First Look, I have seen some pretty special moments between their spouse or close loved ones before the ceremony. Some of them can be done even if you do decide to do a First Look. I think anything that helps make your wedding day that much more special, why not? So here I show and explain some ideas a you can do before the ceremony. More moments, more photos, and of course, more tears!
1. FIRST TOUCH – If a Bride and Groom decide not to have a First Look, they can do a First Touch where they don’t see one another and hold hands. They can pray together or read a written note to one another. It is the perfect option to still have a special moment together, without ruining the surprise of seeing one another (if they prefer to wait till the ceremony).
2. HAVE A FIRST LOOK WITH DAD
Nothing like setting dad up, while his eyes are closed, so that he can get the perfect view of his little girl as a BRIDE! Watching dad’s see their daughters for the first time gets me EVERYTIME. These moments are so precious and truly make the day that much more special!
3. GIVE SURPRISE GIFTS AND/OR HAND WRITTEN LETTERS TO LOVED ONES
The Bride and Groom giving gifts and notes to one another is super sweet, especially when it is a gift that wouldn’t expect! I have also found it really precious watching the MOB or FOB open their gift from their little girl. There are usually many tears involved. And of course, if there is a sentimental gift being given to a bridesmaid as well, that is sweet to document too!
4. A MOMENT OF PRAYER WITH PARENTS OR BRIDAL PARTY
All of the nerves and emotions are high on a wedding day. Nothing can be more grounding then when people stop, hold hands, and pray, before the day really gets going. Such a sweet moment in time!
