It was a gorgeous Friday evening at Fort Adams, in Newport, Rhode Island where Becca and Casey decided to capture their special season of engagement. Fort Adams is near in dear to their hearts, as they have made so many great memories at the annual Newport Folk Festival’s that are hosted there. Becca and Casey first met during their freshman year of high school at Lasalle Academy on the track and field team. Casey eventually invited Becca over for their first date for a football Sunday party where a good portion of his immediate family would be there. She surely felt the pressure, but still decided to attend. Thankfully they all hit it off that night and the two officially started dating in August of 2009!

This sweet couple recalls the time they spent apart after high school. They never completely lost tabs on one another and despite how gut-wrenching the time apart was, they both agree that the separation was the best thing for them and their growth. Space gave them time to realize just how much they really loved one another and wanted to continue to be a part of each other’s lives.  

Becca works at her absolute dream job doing campus ministry at La Salle Academy in Providence (their Alma Mater). Casey works at Collette Tours (worldwide guided tour operator) as a Competitive Intelligence Analyst. Becca admires Casey’s sense of humor, how unknowingly thoughtful he is, and his ability to love her with all of her flaws. They love traveling and experiencing new things together. Their favorite trip was to Malta and love everything about it there, and are eager to return!  Their favorite thing to do is stay in on the weekends, relaxing, and working around the house. These love birds love to travel, cook, watch reality TV, listen to good music, see shows, and be cozy at home with their poodle, Dot. 

On August 14, 2020, they were out celebrating their dating anniversary at the Dunes Club in Narragansett, RI.  Casey asked her to come down to the beach and when he did this, Becca started to get suspicious. Up until that point in time, she was totally unaware of Casey’s plans. Casey was so nervous and thought that he would have not been able to finish between his fragile emotions and Becca constantly interrupting to say, “Casey you are not!” They were both so overjoyed that night! Becca was so happy while it was happening but also felt like she “blacked out” a little from the adrenaline so Casey had to say everything over to her again that night. The Dunes Club was the same place where Casey initially asked Becca out when they were young, so their proposal spot was so perfect!

These soulmates cannot wait to share their incredible life together. They can hardly wait to dance, laugh, and just relish in all the love their wedding day will bring. It’s going to be extra special seeing how their wedding date is the day after their dating anniversary too. When asked what Becca is looking forward to most about marriage, she said, “living every day with her best friend, she could not imagine living in this world without him.”
